DVD - interactual player?

If I want to watch a DVD on my computer, do I have to install the player
that comes with it? Can I watch it using windows media player? If so, which
file do I need to open to watch the movie?

on mny buddies laptop we use media player so give that a shot and if it
doesnt work install the software!

If you run windows media player, just select the dvd drive from the pulldown
menu in the "Now Playing" section. It'll start the dvd as if you were using
a normal dvd player
