I am two years into my Toshiba Satellite laptop, and overall it has
been mixed. The body of the laptop itself, ie. the keyboard, mousepad,
part where the power cord connects are very crappily constructed. I
have had to have several repairs done.

The good thing is, it was all covered under my warranty that I bought
off of Staples. Also, the actual performance of the internal
components of the laptop has been superb to date.

I don't get the hype about newegg. On their website is the same make
and model of a tv I bought at futureshop this week, but $200 more
expensive on newegg!

All depends on what you're looking for. I buy a lot of my computer
related items there because they carry such a wide variety.

Where in Newfoundland can you get an Asus notebook repaired under
warranty? Every notebook has a chance of breaking, and getting it
repaired locally is very appealing for many people. Looking on Asus's
site, it seems the closest place is Markham, Ontario. While Toshiba
can be repaired locally under warranty at MicroAge Computers

I haven't had good experiences dealing with microage personally, and
it's not a big deal to ship it out (for me).
