Does Rogers have a newsserver yet? If not, is there a free
alternative that carries nf.general ?
Also what is a good newsreader for Mac OS X? I'm getting tired of
using google groups.

alternative that carries nf.general ?
Datemas (very small yearly fee), Terra News (free),
Eternal-September (free) or any one of hundreds of others. Just
google 'free newsgroup readers'.

AFAIK they all work equally well in Mac or Windows.

I use datemas for my news service. Very reasonable prices, no hassles.
I use Mozilla Thunderbird to read on my macs.

I am now using eternal-September.org... its free and works fine. The issues
with BellAliant garbage news service made me look elsewhere; though I still
have complaints open. :)
